Beautiful Basement Finishing Near Forest
This remodeling project for Milton Construction services took place for some neighbors near Forest. Each basement finishing project is unique and this one certainly took the cake. It is a very large home, and the owners were looking to move their mother and her husband into the large finished basement area from out of state. However, there was no kitchen in the basement. We designed and built a new kitchen into the already finished basement area. This was a plumbing challenge as we did not want to disturb the finished flooring, etc. We ended up installing a pump under the kitchen sink that drains into the drains that were “readily available” in the ceiling area.
We entered the design phase so that our clients can visualize the final finished basement project. We strived to do as much of the planning work as possible up front, so that once the job was started, it could run along smoothly and be completed in a timely manner with as few delays as possible. We were pleased to have yet another great project working with Elm Home Design for design, cabinets, and countertops.
Now it was time for the actual construction to take place. Here are two of the more dramatic images that allow you to see the room just starting construction and after the kitchen was taking shape.
Now we welcome you to the new finished basement beginning with a 5 burner gas cooktop. Kitchen Remodeling is one of our specialties so it is exciting to focus on this area within the project. Our client’s taste was very “rustic”. They actually drove to our cabinet facility in Pennsylvania and took a tour. They landed on a Knotty Hickory cabinet which turned out great! A double-thick and chiseled edge on the granite countertops added to this effect.
